Njork
︎ProcessTarget Demographic
Based on product opportunity gaps from a previous project, I decided to develop a product that would aid people living in small apartment units with limited counter space. The limited amount of counter space people have makes it difficult for them to make quality home cooked meals. Not only does it make it difficult, it can discourage them from wanting to cook at home, pushing them to go out to eat and spending money unnecessarily.
After thinking of ways to increase counter space I decided to create a versatile cutting board that extends counter space.

Takeaway
After sketching three different concepts I decided to take ideas from both the second and third concepts and develop them further.k
Photoshop Rendering
I continued the development of my design in photoshop. It was at this stage in the process where I discoverd a way to implement legs that would allow the cutting board to not only be placed on stovetops, but also extend over sinks.
I realized that some people might also want to prepare their food over the sink so they can easily discard any useless trimings.
Keyshot Rendering
After I figured out the design and mechanics of the cutting board, I 3D modeled it in SolidWorks.
In Keyshot I made various hero shot renders from my CAD model depicting the different positions the Njork cutting board can be placed in.
Final Design Poster
After completing this project, I created a poster to market my product to potential buyers.
